Here it this version our Mistral staircase is ¼ turned and has a structural glass railing and glass treads. Due to this fact the stair looks very transparent.
For a residential staircase it is extremely wide, namely 1300mm.
The special challenge here at this project was to stand up the second glass panel with the small foot. It was very heavy (approx. 300kg) and our workers had to act with attention and accuracy.

At the suburbs of Nürnberg, a Bavarian town in Germany is this old town Villa which has been completely refurbished. And the result is truly impressive.
The house is decorated by lots of high end design elements. For example there is a huge open fireplace in the living room, the swimming area has a Jacuzzi in the second floor and there is an old chandelier in the entrance area. Yes especially proud is the owner on the glass staircase from SILLER. Due to its size it is unique and decorates the house and its interior even more.
Almost six meter length has the big glass panel in the entrance area. For certain it is the only one or at least one of the view stairs in Europe with such a long piece of glass.

This floating self supporting staircase was created for a commercial space. Due to the fact that the width is 1500mm we had to increase the thickness and strength of each step. At the roots of the steps they are connected to each other to prohibit that the tip swings.
As balustrade there is laminated and tempered glass which is framed by a round wood rail.
By using this dark wood the stair seems to be very heavy but it suits very much to the big and bright room around it

This simplistic design of our glass stair Mistral is located in a skyscraper in New York City. Due to the fact that you have to get up all pieces with an elevator our design was very suitable because steps and glass arrive not preassembled at the site and can be transported upwards piece by piece if necessary.
The installation has been done by a local worker and as you can see on the pictures, he did a very good job.
